With lots of love xx

My little sister wrote me a poem the other day.
Im no good with words at all, but you can tell she is!

Me and You

Caked in mums makeup , naked. Running everywhere, without fear. Chasing the cats, Putting it to misery but did we care? For fourteen years, I trailed your footsteps. But all I wanted to do was to be more like me, not you.

Hand in hand everyday you walked me home, You told me all the gossip but I was only a eight year old. Screaming all day and creating chaos at night, even the neighbours were scared. But all I wanted to do was to be more like me, not you.

Boyfriend number one passed. The stage of alcohol and late nights, I always crossed my tiny fingers and waited for you to get home at night. We baked cakes on Sunday afternoons and watched ants crawl. But all I wanted to do was to be more like me, not you.

Memories scattered everywhere. Past. Present. So rip them up and set them on fire. Crying. But if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be me. So pack your bags, but I wont forget you.
De Ja Vu, De Ja Vu,
At least death isn’t near you.
