London Evening Standard

I always try to do the crosswords you get at the back of newspapers. In this case, I was travelling back home in a train full of business people (rush hour- just my luck) and this newspaper popped out with half of the crosswords already done. So I thought I'd cheat, why not. Anyways, a few pages back, I see this- Feeling prugly?

I frequently come across people who mock fashion in general and this is no different! Okay, so something like the mono brow should be left on Frida Kahlo but there is so much competition in this industry, it is understandable that everyone wants to stand out and out-do the other one. I'm not surprised that so many are coming up with new (sometimes, odd) concepts! I won't deny it, I have seen some models with larger nose than the stereotypically 'pretty' barbie nose and I find them so much more interesting, artistically, to look at.
In my opinion, I think it's good that the fashion industry is introducing and embracing new ideas which are far from the stereotypical views of what the society perceives as 'beautiful' or 'attractive'. Or is it just me?

i totally agree, who wants to look at the same boring, tasteful stuff all the time? it would take all the art out of fashion to get rid of the crazy bits! :) x
